PAGE RANK

PageRank is an algorithm developed by Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page (and for which they own the patent) and is Google's measure of the popularity of a given page by examining the number and quality of links that have linked TO that page. This "inbound link ranking" provides a score from 1 - 10 (with 10 being the most desirable score) for each page and is often referred to simply as a page's "PR" value.
